From the beginning of March until the end of the 2019 fire season, CONAP’s Monitoring and Evaluation Center (CEMEC) – Petén, publishes a weekly report on hot spots / fires.

The material is developed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) within the framework of the Project for the Support of the monitoring of biodiversity and climate change in the Selva Maya executed by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of the Environment (BMU).
